That battery terminal looks pretty crispy too. I should really do a video on this stuff, I’ve rebuilt a few starter harnesses over the years. I use welding cable and hammer crimp ends then heat shrink. I also use No-Alox (find it in the electrical section of the hardware store, electricians use it to prevent corrosion on aluminum wire, but it is electrically conductive and prevents corrosion on any wire) and I use Dielectric grease (not conductive but prevents corrosion). I also use the adhesive lined heat shrink as appropriate. Corrosion and rust are big problems around here. Not everyone is as comfortable working with electrical stuff as I am though so buying a harness may be better for some people.
