The box is 20" wide and 12" tall. It is 4" deep at the top and 7" at the bottom. I think it worked out to about .35 cf. That was all I had room for as the wife hates having her knees in the dash while we are driving

if you used 3/4"mdf then that would be .45cf before driver displacement(which is .05cf). if its .5", then it would be .54cf

you could get away with .5" with that driver if you stay around 150w. and im sure your wife would be happier to ride in your truck.

I used 5/8" to build the box. Am only running a Kicker 40x4 amp right now so it's not too loud. Plan to upgrade to an Elemental Nine4 soon. Am really liking it so far

I added some Dynamat to the front doors last night - definitely makes a difference to the sound coming from the front doors. And I carpeted my box as well. The more I listen to the sub the more I am liking it

I also added some led lights to the bottoms of the front doors - the English cars call them puddle lamps. Just hooked them into the dome light wiring. They are really bright - will try and remember to get a night picture.
