started my v8 swap

we all learn the hard way one time or another, happens to me on every project i do.

up date ,kind of.

so i found my cam . heres whats happing. work is slow because of winter so cash is the biggest hurtle. but i have decided to have my tranny completely re built by a shop . its all apart again and have addressed some shit i didn't like . this ---- up depressed me so that i was going to send it(my motor and tranny) to copykat to hang in his trees to scare the peckers. but back on track and focused.

scored a near perfect hood,free. mounted my oil and temp gages with out having to cut up any thing . and a fan guard i made from bottom of a blazer shroud. just a small bit of all i have done. bunches of small bullshit . i rushed though the first time.

Good to hear your back on track. Sometimes you have to admit defeat and take it in to someone that knows more. I did the same with my rear diff. I tried to set the gears but not knowing enough, made me give up and take it to someone that does them.

Just promise us you wont use that crappy filter when you actually run it. Those things suck so bad. They are just like foam. We took an engine apart that had always had one of them on and the cyl. walls and pistons were so scuffed and messed up.

I'm watching. After helping a buddy do a 302 swap in his B2, I can tell you now your in for alot of custom work.

no.....your b2 is ALOT of custom work...v8 swaps are easy

kid bought it i made him take it off his car because they are shit . just there for the pics have new k+n filter the same as they use in imca modifides

scraped it together

just got home from tranny shop mine will be done in a couple days. complete rebuild the works. cost me just under 600 bucks tax's in. am i pumped

up date 2

so tranny is home it`s all bolted up to motor. right flex plate and motor to tranny plate this time .have the weekend off so will lay it all in tomorrow, to dame tired to start to night. my tranny man said that the tranny was still new inside replaced the washers and pump. flushed it out real good ,new torque. 250 bones later and i am back in the saddle

i am going to post pics of my swap parts ,for those who might want to try this. my swap is a junk yard swap. no store bought parts, short of the oil kit. these are the basic things that i had to mod to make this work. sure there is better or easer ways but this worked for me.all parts were in house already. i have a mini junk yard. i thought that this might help some one with more time than money. i will post more as i finish. yes one more thing donor truck 79 f150.

ford blue. its done works great brought it to temp, no leaks, it all sound good man this thing is going to turn on, not quite o monster but its going to be a handful heres a teaser first burn out , yes in the shop.man I'm in need of a brake job now holy really ugly out and late.no vid camera so those will come . and some action shots out side.
