Standard to auto swap

I have a 96 explorer sport with a blown 5 speed standard trans
And I have a 98 Expplorer xlt with an auto
Wandering if any one know how to swap the electrical parts to my sport
I already know how to swap the tranny itself

you may or may not get flamed for this but most of us will tell you that the automatic is alot weaker than the 5 speed, and to just find another 5 speed to throw in.

im assuming you want to do this to save some cash.

i thought there was something about the auto to 5 speed swap in the tech section. just work backwards.

I would just try and find another 5 speed to swap in, cause in my opinion, going from a stick to an auto is just plain dumb

do what you want, but dont expect a used auto trans to last long haha.

I would never go back to an auto trans in any vehicle I drive

i once had a 93 explorer with 110k miles on it, the auto trans was already slipping.
