I just put a limited slip in and have be driving for a few days. About 100 yards ago a squeel started from the rear. I am thinking maybe I need more diff fluid or to grease the axle bearings. Any ideas. I am taking a look tonight.

Was it properly installed? Are you using friction modifier?

I did not put friction modifier in it yet. I actually forgot to buy it when I bought some diff fluid. Could the clutch pack itself be squeeling? I suppose that could be it.

It would only do that in turns, it sounds like yours is doing it all the time. Did you properly install it and is everything within correct specs?

Yeah I put it in correctly. Would the ring and pinion squeel. Honestly it sound like it is coming from the driver side only. But i have to take the diff cover off anyways to check the bearings so I will check everything when I get inside. I just have to wait for shop space.

Issue was resolved, I think it was just the brakes or something. I drove to get some more diff fluid before I changed the bearings and checked how the gears looked and the squeel was gone. So I was probably just a little paranoid.
