I need some help, my truck has been making some noise in the rear when ever I hit a bump in the road, or a speed bump in the parking lot. It makes some kind of squeeking noise, not sure what it is though. Ive checked everything in the rear, but everything seems to be ok. So, now what?

Any advise would be helpful.

I know my squeaking comes from the leafsprings. Maybe yours does too?

Check the pads that are between the individual leafs in the spring pack, when the pads wear out and dirt gets in there it can cause a bad squeeking noise as the springs are now metal on metal. You can try cleaning between the leafs and spraying some lubricant between them to quiet the noise.

Yeah dude just do that and it should work... temporarily at least.

Yup. What he said ^^^^^^^^^^

I've run into the same prob with my rangers and those leaf springs.

Well ive sprayed some lubricant between the pads and after a couple of days I still have a squeeking noise on every bump I hit. Any more ideas?

If I cant get this fixed im getting earmuffs. Its driving me nuts. I dont have air conditioning so I ride with my windows down. I hear it all the way down the road.
