Spike tv's Extreme 4x4 comes to an end...

^ I remember that!

Yeah, the shows did get a bit ridiculous. Don't even get me started on "car fix" and the rest on Velocity.

Frankly, When it comes to car shows, I like Wheeler Dealers the most. Ed just does the work, explains what hes doing without the damn product placement or outlandish tools that we don't have.

I enjoyed when Stacey David was on trucks, and then when he did gearz. Wish that could have transplanted to the networks...

x2 on Stacey David, I loved him when he was on trucks. I remember watching that as a kid and thought it was the coolest show ever. Gearz is good but not as good as trucks was. I still like him and the work he does. I think wheeler dealers is one of the best because there is no product placement, but it seems like a lot of the time they don't make much of profit.

Really? Do you know which one? I looked briefly, but couldn't find it...

SVT

Sweet, thanks. Btw, if anyone else is interested, its channel 214 for direct tv users, Sunday @ 9am...

Wheeler dealers it very rad. I do like the show and some of the cool cars.

I knew xtreem was going down the poop shoot, when they did that show on $800 rc cars

if there is, you built it yourself and it's getting harder and harder to continue drive them with pay your yearly street control inspections), no character.

Oh, I don't know about that. You just have to know the ins and outs of the laws.

I have built my truck up to be exactly what I want, and aside from an inoperative parking brake and a few missing engine control devices that will be added once I get the funds together to get the parts my truck is 100% street legal per PA motor vehicle code.

I always wanted to host a 'Weekend Garage' show where I had a garage with a lift and tools that people used. The idea would be to let people submit their weekend project, and if it sounded cool, they got to use the shop and all it's tools for the project for free. It would get taped, edited, and aired as a 1-hour show. The show would run weekly with a different project each week. All the viewers would know is that it would be automotive related, with real world people on a real world budget.

No paid staff doing projects and spending unrealistic money on projects. They get free use, I get a show to tape and air. I guess it would be like 'Powerblock Meets Reality TV'.

Man, I should pitch that idea. :icon_thumby:

I would so do that. It's much better than my idea for a car show.

I just wanted to talk with engineers about why their designs are stupid.

@ Jim; That is something I would take the time to watch.

Jim that is something I would watch also, but you better have a good censor button
during editing. Most people I know..when they get to wrenching on their vehicles, they start spitting out all kinds of not so nice words and phrase's.

awesome idea!

I fourth? or maybe fifth? that opinion. Sounds cool. Like the price is right but with a garage. You know "Come on down".
