Will a 31" spare tire fit between the frame rails? I have the swingdown/up style as opposed to the cable winch style in the newer trucks.
 
mine wouldn't fit in my first gen so i would guess no. a 235/70/15 barely fit
 
no way youll get a 31 on that swing up, even the cable setup a 31 is tight in there.
 
doesnt fit. tried it on my '93 by lifting the tire with a floor jack.
