Spammy looking DM from brand new member

I posted something in the wanted section today and received a DM from a member that signed up 10 days ago, no messages or posts, and telling me that someone else is selling the part that I'm looking for and provided an email to contact them at. It looks very phish-y. Can a moderator let me know if y'all have a protocol for these? thanks.

Yeah. Ignore that. Don't send e-mail. I'm sure the mods will have the user under surveillance. Thanks for bringing it to attention.

Not sure why you shaded out all the member info in your screen shot.

A member with less then 10 posts shouldn't be able to send a direct message. That was done in the software to prevent this exact thing.

Post the users name so we can eliminate that account.

And by all means... do not reply to that message.

Unfortunately it happens all the time. Click the report button down in the corner, and keep scrolling.

There's really no way to stop them from joining, though I thought there was a minimum post count to DM. Best we can do is report when they show their ugly little heads so that Jim and the mods can whack them.

Edit: There it is in @Uncle Gump's post. 10 was what I was thinking, but wasn't sure. Curious that they are managing to bypass it. I do understand why the name was shaded for posting here if you aren't sure about them being a legit member. If in doubt, better to report and let the mods sort it.
