I just recently about 100 miles ago changed my oil and filter using 5/30 amzoil oil and filter. I just drove it in the shop and checked my oil and on the dipstik there was white lines in there with the oil I hope that this isnt what i think it is; anti freze level check; is there a posobility of moisture in the dipstik tube its been cold there it was a quick start the truck shut is off; what do yas all think

well i drove it around town and checked as soon as i got back and there was no sign of the white stuff still would like to know if it was caused by starting moving in the shop and turning it off that quick would have caused this to happen; since i got the turck i check it all the time and havent ever noticed this before but it usually was still cold.

one quick start and stop isnt going to create water in the oil. repeated short trips that dont let the engine get up to operating temp can allow condensation to accumulate in the crankcase, but this takes months.

i would perform a cooling system pressure test to make sure there isnt a problem. antifreeze in the oil will kill bearings in no time.
