solo chain saws, can't find parts anywhere!

I have a Stihl 011AVT and a Homelite XL2. 16" and 12" respectively. I also used to have a big Mac from the 60's with a 20" bar that I got for 75 cents. Way too big for what I cut though so I sold that one.

Good luck finding what you need... It's REALLY hard to find parts for older stuff. Finding parts for an old Skil saw that I fixed was a bastard too. I would buy another Stihl in a heartbeat after my experience with other brands.

i recently bought my first saw.. a poulan for $1 just need the chain oiled 3 pulls and ran like a champ. ive cut down 60+ trees so far and still going strong

last april i bought a different saw (used) It's a Stihl 015av with a case. It's kinda on the small side, it has a 16 inch bar and i got it going pretty good, I use it semi-regularly. The oiler for the chain was clogged up, I put in a carb kit, and bought a new bar/chain for it. At first it seemed to be pretty underpowered and i couldn't get the carb to adjust right but just all of a sudden I did some tuning on it this year and now it starts/runs good. It would be nice to have one with a little more power but this one gets the job done and is pretty light. I can cut pretty much all day and not be to wore out afterwards.
