NOT a good idea. The transmission rotates with the engine as the torque from the engine rotates the engine. There is a reason the engine and transmission do NOT come solid mounted from the factory.
Not true, lots of competition high horse power cars and trucks run an engine plate instead of motor mounts. They don't wreck engine blocks and there is a lot more torque there than any ranger will have.
However I would highly recommend not solid mounting your engine/tranny in anything that is street driven.
You sure i would break it? People do it with 350zs all the time and launch them on slicks. Never broke a tranny case. Not like I would be launching it at the strip. hm. If I did pop the case a new tranny is what 150$ out of the junk yard. I need a clutch anyway. The truck isn't a daily driver my 350z is. So if it does break it wont hurt me. I mainly use it for low speed stuff off road nothing real serious.
