there is sas bolt in kits, if you want to spend at least $2000 not including the axle. i can buy a welder and make everything for cheaper then that. do you have a dana 28 or 35 in your truck right now?

nice so if i buy this its basically a six inch lift? because i can get a dana 44 for free from one of my friends who has a couple old bronco its a 1977 i believe

You sure it's a 1977? If so, it will be the correct width. In 1978, they went to full size axles, just gotta make sure :icon_thumby:

If it were me, I'd fab it all up...1900 is a little pricey.

Why not just replace the D35? I have a few if you want one.

the spring lift rate stuff is a little confusing, make sure you get what you need/want.

You still have to think of the prices for rebuilding the D44 you get. It WILL need new balljoints and all the brake parts, new axle seals would be a good thing and new u-joints would be smart. New wheelbearings and spindle bearings are a must. Also there are the correct gears to match your rear end. All of the parts you would need to replace on your D35 would need to be replaced on the D44 before you run it. If you honestly are not going to go over 33s then I would just stick with the D35. The only reason I have D44 SAS is because I was 2WD and it was easier for me to go SAS then to swap in a D35 TTB.
