Dude.............I've been there, done that YEARS ago...................we rented a place when we first moved to TN after I got out of the USAF in 92, lived there 4yrs paddin the owners pocket........water heater needed replaced, had rotted the floor out below it, we offered to do the install & repair if he bought the WH........instead, he gave us 30 days to get out, said he was sellin it. I was tired of paddin somebody elses pockets, so we decided to sell our classic 72 Chevelle Convertible............my Dad called that weekend, asked how things was goin, told him & Mom what had happened & what we decided to do, he said, what's it gonna cost me? I said WHAT? He said, what's the convertible gonna cost me? I said, Dad, what do you need with another car, he said not to worry bout that, what was it gonna cost him? Dad & I chatted alone for a bit & came to an agreed price, he sent me a check & I arranged for the car to be transported to him, which he also paid for. With the money we got from the Chevelle, we paid cash for a 14X70 MH and put a down payment on property that included water tap & hookup and septic tank installed & hookup. We had $18k invested in our new to us home...........we lived there for 5yrs, our kids were both married at the end of the 5yrs and my Wife's employer transferred us to IN, so we decide to sell it.......we sold it for $25k and when we got transferred back to TN 1yr later, we bought the house we currently live in, our kids & Grandkids live within 30mins of us..........GOD IS GOOD to those that TRUST & LOVE HIM!!!
The 72 Chevelle after Dad was done with it, I had done the drivetrain & suspension...........he had the body work done & painted:
And YES, Dad still has it!
