So i'm trying to find a truck.

My girlfriend is going to start driving soon, and she really likes my Bronco II, so i'm pretty sure she'd like a Gen 1 ranger, and she's agreed that we should get one.

So i'm trying to find a truck that is set up for a 2.3, hopefully without a motor, or with one that's grenaded, since i've got my wrecked 88 with good running gear and a bent frame, it would be cheaper if what i bought had bad running gear.

the problem is, how do you find engine-less trucks?

You might be better off looking for a truck with a fubard transmission.

jut look on craigslit. Dont forget you are looking for a 25 year old truck. they dont cost very much as it is. if you want a newer one find a dealer on cl offer them $300 to take you to an auction by a car cheap there.. everyone wins..........are you looking for agen 1 becasue you have the engine

That long bed looks even long then mine! I want! Yeah just cruise around CL and see what you find. Unless you live in alaska then anything that still runs is apparently worth top dollar.

the problem is is that i live in texas and anything that doesn't have about half the parts missing usually costs a fortune, and i don't know why.

There's an '86 ranger 4 cyl automatic with a bad tranny seal in Kansas City for $750.



It's got a straight body too.
