so i was at the truck part store..........

:icon_rofl:Funny, because this "powerpuss" you speak of would smoke a cummins.

Blow smoke on a cummins, then the cummins driver would put down his cheeseburger and slowly row the gears..... past the turd.

Just a fact of life, I never raced a single PS, that would even hang with my truck.

and they are physically limited in HP, cost is another factor, what a joke.

Get one over 500 hp 900ftlb (real numbers) then talk to me.

Frank

Stock for stock. Of course you can modify anything to beat out anything. Simple fact of life. Off the show room floor you know that damn Power Stroke would beat a Cummins. The only real problem with modifying a 6.0 too much is the heads lifting off which can be easily fixed with new and better studs. If I were to ever have a diesel it would be a Cummins and a 7.3.

thats something I see every two minutes in Wyoming. If you dont have a 3.4 or 1 ton truck its not a truck. (i dont have a truck, lol)

Next time tell your friend not to scratch his nuts while taking a pic.

In california those kind of trucks are a dime a dozen...can't drive for 5 mins without seeing a huge lifted F-2/350 or silverado

Stock for stock, definantly you are correct........but, who does that? I ran O-rings and headstuds, never lifted a head after that....... turned 65lbs daily through a 2.6 class inducer wheel.

How about a 500hp, 900ft# 6.2 diesel? All you have to do is run 2 DB2 pumps in parallel and use a Holset HX50 turbo. Diesel power isn't rocket science. You just need fuel and boost and for it to not come apart.

Around here guys buy diesels to haul there boats mainly. I don't see too many fifth wheels except for a few of the ranchers who have horse trailers. That, and fifth wheel campers. Other than that, you don't see too many modified diesels unless they are lifted. I'll take a picture of a Dodge that's for sale and post it here later.

i would love an f 350 turbo deisel but i would rather have the new GMC/Chevy mid duty maby the ford mid duty. a while back about a year and a half ago i saw the chevy version of the gmc mid duty at the irwindale dragstrip. it was slightly lifted with an old man drivin it, he smoked the new lancer evo which i could tell had a good amout of money and time put in it. i dont know what the truck had done to it but it was great

HX-50 and 55's are prone to shaft snap, be carefull not to "turbo-bark" it.

I'd go with an Industrial Injection......... if you want the longevity.
I ran water meth on my 6bt as well (just for kicks, and mpg when towing)

For them not to come apart is darn close to rocket science....... when you get down far enough.
I'd like to see and hear more about your 6.2.
