So I might just commit an act of treason...

i'd do it. but probably for $100... sounds like a piece of shit

If you get it it would be a good idea to put a rollcage in it in case it decides to go shiny side down on ya

the roofs don't like alot of weight

my first car was a 92 or 93 s10blazer and it was a good vehicle. gobs and gobs of torque, average offroad ability stock, and it was truly bullet proof. an old woman in an impala ran a redlight and i tboned her and put her passenger door into her driver seat with her and all that happened to my blazer is i broke the grill pushed the hood and front fenders in a couple inches and busted the radiator. i drove home and hers was towed to the scrapyard and i rolled her playing offroad and we got her back on her feet and drove off without any issues so i wouldnt worry about safety too much.

for 250$ id buy it and go wheel the living piss out of it until it was not road worthy then take it to the crusher and get my 250$ back. :icon_thumby:

i am with this mindset.

this is typical of my 4.3 experience. its stouter then any rbv powertrain untill the put the cammers in. stronger engine, stronger trans.....gayest axles ever.

put the ranger axles on a blazer and you got a pretty good rig. but they do suck to work on.

So I decided against it. It's really bad, not road worthy by a long ways. I don't have enough trails by my house to justify it. I'm trying to get a 89 4x4 ranger though. Kid just paid $230 for it. Wish me luck on this one!

:badidea: FACT: More people have died in the S-10 Blazer than in any other car ever made! :bad:

Here is another fact. They crimple like soda cans against an 70's an truck (another Chevy for that fact). 96' Blazer vs 70's Chevy truck. Blazer's driver fender, grill, hood, bumper, all destroyed. 70's era truck, only a dent in the rusted chrome bumper, and maybe pushed the bumper in a little. This only happened do to a faulty ABS module, which GM later had a recall for.

Good Luck!:icon_thumby:

yeah i know they aren't the greatest trucks, but this is most likely going to be a field beater, and possibly trail beater if I put plates on it.
I've been looking for something to take the wheeling strain off of my ranger, where I have to rely on it to take me 130 miles every other day for school.
Plus this Blazer is a chop top with 35s and no lift. For $250, ill part it out if i hate it :D

This reminds me of the one and only jeep i've ever owned. after a snapped recovery strap took care of most of the glass and a tree took out one of the A pillars and a door, my cousin and i finished the job with a torch and a chevy.

had some fun with her for sure, may she rest in pieces.

Even if its a chevy, even if its a piece of crap, have fun with it and run it till the wheels fall off!

so this 89 Ranger regular cab short bed 2.9 5 speed manual with a manual transfer case was just bought for $230 and he put a clutch in it. he needs a vehicle because he blew the motor is his SRT-4 Neon, but knocked his ex's new bf's front teeth a couple days ago  so i might be able to steal this thing for $300 to $350

oh CHKNFKR your steering wheels on the wrong side!

oh really? I guess its a good thing that this has no roof so in the event of an accident I will be thrown out and away from the crash.
