Sometimes I wonder what some of you knuckle heads would do if there was a black member on this forum who helped you out, gave you tips & advice and then showed up at an event you were at with a kick ass Ranger. Would you not wheel with him just because he was black? You really think Ford only sells 4x4's to white people? Would you associate with him on the forum only until you saw the color of his face?

its funny you say that Jim, we had a situation VERY similar to what you are talking about over on offroadohio.com some time back. It made many of the core members including myself a little more culturally aware and a little less closed minded.

I've been boxing for a long time, since around my sophomore year in high school. I really enjoy it. I hadn't had to use it until this guy decided he'd try some stuff with my girl. I told him once to cut it out in person and he didn't, so I told his friends to tell him I'd kick his ass if I saw him. I ended up running into him in the hall after school one day, while everyone was waiting on buses and stuff. He mouthed off, so I walked past him and was going to let it slide. Then he decided to grab my shoulder and spin me around to face him.

I snapped at his face with a headbutt and ended up breaking his nose. He dropped and I told him to "stop the shit". Never heard a word out of him the rest of my high school career.

Sometimes people just won't learn unless you get physical. It sucks to bring it to that point, but sometimes someone just needs a good ass kicking to put them in their place.

I work with people of all different races, sexes and sexual orientation. Some are nice and some aren't. It doesn't matter what they are, it matters who they are. Hopefully you will have some positive life experiences and become a little more tolerant and realize how juvenile your hate is. Give people a chance they may surprise you.

My best friend was a black dude for 20 years until he went to prison for damaging some dude and his property. He's 5' 7" and ways 240lbs of pure solid muscle, he's been like that since high school. We have hung out alot over the years and heard alot of racial slures and "I pitty the fool" who gets on his bad side. I had not seen him a few months then I stopped by and his wife told me what happened. Honestly the guy that got in his face and started to prceed, the guy got what he deserved sorry to say that. It's true. He resembles Mr.T alot from when he played on the A-Team minus the gold and mohawk. Just imagine someone like that coming after with you full rage, OUCH.

Now I have not seen my friend in about 2 year, because he's in prision. I learned alot from him I have seen guys go down from one hit from him that are 3x's the size. Anyhow I learned not to take anykind of BS from anybody and got alot wiser over the years. Since I hung out in the ghetto most of the time, I was always in that area. Black folks are good people they have the A- holes just any race does. I am not racist, due to I deal with folks of different races every day & I have gotten use to it.

I agree. I just joined the forums not long ago. I read some threads and get some weird vibes from people every now and then (especially from "The Garage"), but my experience here so far has been pleasant. Jim, you're a great Moderator and I actually applaud you for not being like other moderators on other boards. Most boards will handle these types of situations by deleting posts, but you actually address them. Great Job!!!
