the "junkyard hunt" isn't too hard on the rear window for an extended cab, '86-97 extended cab or any '98-11 of any flavor Ranger... with that year range it's harder to find the '83-97 regular cab rear window anymore... believe me, I've gone through my share, on my 4th rear window on the '90, second on the '97 Ranger and I've put in two in the '97 F350 (those are conveniently the same from '80 to the end of that body style...), two in the '90 were from the passenger seat pressure on the pane, bought the '97 Ranger with a blown rear window, one in the F350 was from a john boat going through the window and the other firewood related...
The plastic trim around the window is part of the window, so you're covered there if you change it you change the trim...
