i ve got a 96 formula 3 an i just recently put a new track on it.. well i noticed theirs an evenly spaced mark in the center of the track right down to the cords. i just ripped the skid out today an took some pictures to see if maybe some one had a good way to fix this? i noticed that the top of the shock is rubbing which i think is the problem.. i believe i have the c7 suspension. my dads 96 583 has the sc10 an his new track is also getting chewed in the center .. would tightening the limiting strap help? iam stumped.. an a little irritated.. lol nice new track already getting destroyed.

here are a few pics.

maybe your rollers are worn?

well i ended up cutting the mounting ears off an moving them down.. nows theirs about an inch to 2 inches of space between the track an shock mounting.. so it SHOULDNT hit..

well after i got mine all back together i had to tighten my limiter straps an then i brought my dads sled in the shop to check out the shock mounting on his an do the modification to his as well.. when i got the rear lifited it didnt look good.

looks like the bottom of the shock broke AGAIN an sliced the center out of the BRAND NEW 700 dollar track .. NOT a happy camper.
