Yessir, Montana got hit pertydern good if you ask me. And I am BLOWN AWAY by the way my little open diff 2WD is performing this year. New set of skins I got in july really really made a difference compared to the tires I had last year. They're not snow tires, just AT's, but they are doing a INCREDIBLE Job!
I wish we get snow down here. Instead, that cold front is pushing winds up to 30~40mph from the north. Earlier it was winds from the south at 30~40mph. I'm surprized I have not lost power yet. Then theres talk of freezing rain over night.
I'm glad the jetstream finally flip-flopped so we're getting the warmer air on the East coast, and you guys in the West are getting the cold. It was the opposite for the last month or so and i've been freezing my dang rearend off. Today I was outside in a t-shirt a flies were lighting on me.
around seattle it snowed about 3 or 4 inches. the ice is the big problem though. in these darn back roads there are no snow plows at all which their usually is right after the first day of snow. So driving on pure iced roads sucks.
almost got in an accident tonight, i was pickin my gf up from work (she don't know how to drive in snow/ice) and pulling out of the parking lot i looked both ways but didnt see the car coming in the lane i was pulling into. i came within inches and i'm so glad i had 4x4 on otherwise i would have just slid into the guy when i touched the throttle. i totally agree that a good driver can go in 2wd. i drove around most of the day in 2wd but switched into 4wd once all the idiots decided to go for a sunday drive in their little cars without chains and no sense of what the hell they were doing
