One, studs don't do much. All season tires are just fine, have them put studs in just so you don't pee your pants. Driving on snow is just another skill level to be learned, as well as driving on ice. If you can't control your vehicle, it doesn't matter if you have snow tires or not. I live in Snow. Currently my driveway has snowberms taller than me (I'm 5ft).
People always say "if you live in Alaska you better have a 4X4 truck." But my 2wd ranger is my lover. I drift like BAMF in the snow and ice.
