Snoooooow

CALLING FOR SNOW!!!! Whats wrong with montana these days? Going into December and still no snow? I Need snow. Now

Oh boy, more SNOW!

My back is already sore from the last week...and it's been snowing a bit today with calls for a heavy storm...

Not sure who it is that is "calling for snow", but if I ever find them I'm gonna slap them upside the heads...

Sorry since april I have been begging for the snow to come back, always gets the old guys at work riled up, but at the same time I like winter better than summer, so sorry for my part in it. only thing I don't like about winter is the idiots that can't drive in it.

hahaha...

For the last four of five winters we haven't had serious snow till after December...we usually get a bit but I can sweep that stuff away in no time...this stuff is heavy, wet, slush that does not work with the snowblower...

Well, I don't blame regular guys for wanting snow...I was actually referring to the ippy dippy weathermen and women that everyone says are "calling for snow"...it's a joke I have with my nephew...sorta like when I say to him "well, you know what they say" and he says "What"...and I say "I don't know, I can't hear them"...

He's blind and I'm partially deaf...so it's a "have to be there" sorta joke...

ah a friend of mine is a weather girl in texas, when I get a chance to talk to her I ask her to call for snow, just once. but I know what you mean.

I'm sure her boss would love the joke...

I remember when I drove to FL in December for the first time and was absolutely shocked seeing people wearing sweaters when the temperature dropped below 75*...I was sweating and the Floridians were freezing...

like my grandfather when he went to texas to visit my parents, he walked outside in shorts and a t-shirt, middle of winter, the neighbor looked at him and said, DAMN NORTHERNERS. my grandfather just started laughing

We already have gotten 3 feet. Heavy wet lake effect too. I had to drive a 25000 lb truck to Buffalo during one storm 2 weeks ago. That was fun. I don't mind driving in a vehicle I am familiar with, but when it's something I have only driven 3 or 4 times, I would rather not deal with it.

Biggest problem is that all of this now has been to heavy to use the large 2 stage blower on, its all had to be done with a shovel or with the old 25 year old Toro 2 stroke single stage blower.

I love winter. Everybody I am around bitches about it, All I can say is move out of Lake Effect Country if you don't like getting snow dumped on you.

down hear in denver we got about 2inches....the ski resorts got almost 2.5 feet in 48 hours

Live down here long enough and your blood thins out, you become less tolerant of the cold. I call Florida weather 8 months above 80. When it finally gets below that number it's just awesome. At least I see it that way. Most of the locals do the sweater thing. Panzies.

wish we got snow in Florida...

No snow but we get enough rain to make up for it. Some yards around me are still flooded from Fay. I actually saw it snow once in Florida in January 2001. Just the slightest of flurries, hardly noticeable, but it happened.

My parents did the snowbird thing for a few years and went to a place on the panhandle somewhere on the north gulf coast...so, I decided to drive down at the end of the year in 88 with my spanking new Ford Tempo to get some miles on it...when we got down there and woke up the next morning there was ice on the ground and a bit of snow...I was very disappointed, but figured it was December/January weather...it did warm up during the day and we got some sunshine, but I was expecting some hot weather...

Before that, I think it was 84, my gf at the time and I drove down to her parents place in FT Lauderdale and from there we went all the way down to the tip of the Keys...it was warm, but I really expected HOT...even in Key West, where I stood on the beach in mid afternoon, I could feel a chill in the air...got (had?) a picture somewhere of me standing by the beacon there with the wind blowing my long-gone shoulder-length hair all over the place...

But I managed to fall in love with Key Lime Pie...yummmmm...

Thats just it right there!! People bitch about snow when living in prime lake effect areas....bitch about hurricanes living on the East coast and Gulf....tornados in the "tornado belt".

Get in where ya fit in people. I like Chicago. It has a huge city with countless things to do n see. You can earn a good buck. Country livin and fun is just 50 miles east. A good 7 months to ride the bike. Few months of snow. yada yada

and on that note we are getting our 1st snowfall last night and still now. Only a few inchs so far. I want BLIZZARD conditions:icon_hornsup:

we had our first little storm here yesterday. it snowed for like 20 minutes and sleeted for an hour and a half. thats all we've seen so far. i don't like anything about the winter except for snowmobiling. i can't wait to get up to maine and get the sleds running!

Yeah, sorta like when we get too much heat up here and someone from Texas comes up and says "gee, a bit cool today"...lol

We ended up, so far, only getting about an inch of slush last night...I was kinda glad because I'm too busy right now (sure, sure...LOL) to spend too much time shovelling it...

When I played hockey I loved winter...especially outdoor rinks...clearing it off was half the fun because it was like a community project to keep the hockey rink clear...and the games went on for hours without a thought of how cold it was...
