Ok so I knew my right rear (front) shackle , bracket , leaf spring thing what ever the hell you want to call it was about to go so I went and picked up a new one today, question is the old one snapped a block from my house I drove it home, hearing the wonderful sounds of busted truck, My question is I have to get it 4 miles from my house to the garage that does work for me, will it be ok or am I goin to really mess something up and end up paying for trying to get it there, most of it is highway I figure flashers on and drive slow I should be ok but this is the first time I've had something like this happen ( only my second truck)

It can be done, but I'd try and find a way to secure the broken hanger in place to keep it from causing further damage. Slow, meaning nothing outta first gear but other then that I'd get it towed or find a buddy with a trailer.

Theres no way I'd feel comfortable taking that on the freeway. Driving it on and off the trailer at .005 mph is about all I'd do, even then I would only go as short a distance as possible. If the leaf spring isn't attached at the hanger the axle could possibly move out of alignment which could cause damage. If that hanger failed then the others might not be far behind and you could easily loose control and damage more than your truck.

Ya know if it was not for bad luck I'd have none, yesterday the tow company was supposed to come out and grab my Ranger, well due to a blown out hydro hose they where not able to, So a day and a half of not working later my truck is off to the garage on the back of the tow truck joy of joys.
