Smoke from steering column?

Thanks Sludge, I know I can always trust a cert. Ford tech. Hows the job goin by the way?

And Will, I'm one step ahead of you. My new girlfriend works at Checkers and she picked up a battery kill switch for me today.

I think she's a keeper

:yahoo: go u lol, dude i agree on going to a dealer, i rember a recall on trucks and vans with cruze, but i dont rember if it was for rangers. def, go to a dealer, these guys kno wat there talking about

f-150's, rangers, expoders, e-350's and chassis cabs, lincoln town cars, ect, ect...something like 4 million vehicles in all.

you can check all recalls effecting your truck HERE

keep in mind that out of the 4 million some vehicles effected by 05S28, only 559 related fires have been reported. ive probably done 2 thousand of these myself and have only seen 2 leaking switches.

I'm not too worried about it, Sludge, but it would be nice to not make that number 560!

Yes, I got fire coverage that goes into effect tomorrow.

If I hydrolock my engine driving through a water hazzard, does that count as "flood damage" ? hahaha

depends on your policy. i used to drive a wrecker and guy was wheelin a jimmy and hydrolocked it. 800 ft of cable , 4 hours later and $500 recovery and tow later his insurance totaled it cause 1 it hydrolocked and 2 the water was over the computer and considered flood damaged.
