i got in my truck to go to work on friday. i noticed my clutch had alot of in it and was hard to shift. looked at it and noticed my fluid was low. filled it up and went about my day. monday i go to work and is even harder to shift. i get ready to go home at the end of the day and it wont shift at all. i had to drive home in 3rd gear. on the highway i was able to get it into 5th. but when i hit a red light i had to turn off the truck and put it back into 3rd. Slave cylinder go out??

Try to see if there is fluid coming from the bellhousing area. There should be an inspection hole you can look through. You may have to remove a rubber grommet to do so.

yeppers. now im thinking it has a crack in it =(.... im going to have to drop the tranny for this arnt i....

yes sorry to be the bearier of bad news but IF it is the slave, the tranny has to come out.
