I know it's common for guys with extended cab 4.0Ls to run the 6" kit using the 4" holes but that still only gets about 4.5" of actual lift. I want as much lift as possible 'cause I wanna fit the biggest tires possible; could I run the 6" lift with an 8" coil? And would the 4.0L with the stock 5 speed handle 35s after regearing?

yes. 8" coils will work with the 6" lift. Compleckz is running that combination. your tranny will be fine. its the clutch that takes the beating with out regearing. after regearing it will be fine. are you going with 4.88 gears?

Yep, no problem with the 4.0L if you regear to 4.88 or 5.13.

As for the 8" coils, they should work on the 6" lift being you have the extended cab 4.0L.
You will absolutely need to get the bigger drop pitman arm for it though (SJ pt# FA600) with that much lift, the one that comes in the kit won't cut it (or better, make a custom centerlink-style steering setup for it).

Cool. Thanks, guys. I don't know which gears yet, I'm still sorting things out but it seems the general consensus is 4.88s?

I've actually been looking for that 'extreme' drop pitman arm, thanks for the part number.

Yeah, man. A few pics would be great, thanks. Are you running that setup with the 4" holes or the 6"?
