IMO... It depends entirely on the situation... I believe skinny is better in most all situations (look at camel trophy trucks etc) ... Something built to trek down the highway for 100's of miles then make it's way off road 100's of miles will undoubtedly benefit from a skinnier (75/85 aspect ratio) tire than a wide one... Now, if youre venturing into those few instances where a wide tire is better (deep mud, sand) I would say go for it... Im not one to build a single purpose 'wheeler' though so I stick with sonething that is a 'jack of all trades... Master of none'...
