transfercase accepts 2.5" flange, my driveshaft is a 3.5" anyone know what part number(flange or ujoint) i can use to make it work?

im pretty sure mjones found it, it should be towards the end of his build

yea I looked there. Only saw a picture no part numbers etc.

thats cool man thanks anyway Ill start looking again. Ive google this shit too.

if you go down to a drive shaft shop, they will get that quick. that what I did and the lady didn't even have to look up the number, walked back and installed the u-joint to the flange and shaft in minutes everything cost me $12 in all. and there is also a flange you can by that she offered me but it was 20.

go by a junkyard if they have a newer ranger with the flange you need on the t-case and just gank it off and swap it onto your case.

You can do three things....
1. Get the correct driveshaft from a 98-99 truck with the 2.5" flange on it.
2. Swap the transfer case output flange with the bigger 3" piece from a newer 00+ truck.
3. Use a conversion u-joint from spicer 1310-1330 (Spicer 5-134X), and adapt a smaller 1310 2.5" u-joint stub flange (which you should be able to get at a driveshaft shop, junkyard, or another rbv driveshaft) on the driveshaft via the conversion u-joint thats needed to mate the two together...

yeah im hitting the driveshaft shop up, sure they have it

all i did was get a one piece shaft from an exploder, i took the front slip piece off the exploder shaft and installed it on my ranger 1 piece shaft and bolted it in ....... works like a charm :yahoo:
