Found this interesting video. Brake line blew at 27,000 psi. I'm still gonna use them if need be. They will get you home or to a shop.

when the rear line in a 95 Taurus popped a leak there was maybe 10% braking left,,,,IF you frantically pumped the pedal. had to add fluid after a few stops.
DON'T be thinking you'll have adequate brakes if a line breaks.
