Silencer Car Alarm doesn't work

I have a 98 ranger with a silencr car alarm and i just replaced the remotes battery and it does not engage can anyone help me out with this...

Did it work with the old battery recently? If so, the battery you put in is either the wrong kind or dead...if it didn't work recently I'd see about getting a replacement remote...

Make sure that you didn't install the new battery backwards. Does the remote have a light that turns on when you press a button on it?

yes i installed the battery correctly

i just bought the car so im not sure about the battery on the car how old it is but the remote works but there is no response (Angry Face)

Do you have to reprogram the remote? I am sure it has to know which code it needs to send to set off your alarm and not the guy's next to you.
