side exit before rear tire

For a while the F-150 had a side exit exhaust in front of the rear tire from the factory.
Generally speaking, most state laws require the exhaust to exit behind the rear-most opening window.

Yes but there was a TSB for the exhuast on the 97-98 f150's with that exhaust as it was cauising the rims to corrode and disscolor as well as rusting up the brakes pretty bad. They replaced it with a full length tail pipe that was behind the rear tire.

beat me to the punch sas. thats why im always trying to talk people out of under-vehicle dumps.

Here is my True Dual Side Exit:

Without the bed - note 2 mufflers . . .

i was wondering on the guys that put there exits thur the sides of the bed if any smoke or anything gets on the paint? and if so how much?

nope not really, as long as you have the tip sticking out of the body enough, it wont get on your paint
