sick of the punks on "another site'

I may be the only guy on Earth that feels this way, but I wouldn't spool back the clock even an hour.

Your whole life you are changing. You are constantly processing input. At 22 your very dumb. I know this because I was very dumb. I rammed my car into the guard house at Kaneohe Marine Corps Amphibious Base when I was 21. That is definately an activity I've grown out of. At 20 I got arrested for beating someone's car flat with a sledgehammer. I've grown out of that.

I don't want to go back to when I was dumber. I'm not the indestrucible guy I was at 22, but I am content. Now I like to think about how ten years from now I'll look back and say, "damn but was I dumb at 38. I should have planted that apple tree ten feet further from the power line."

Ya I know what site you are talking about. They have lot of good info over there but it is a totally diff. coulter over there. I def. hang out here alot more.

I am a newb here also, but what made me join this site as compared to any other is how people are respectful and dont really bash anyone. Maybe when I get back to the good ole U.S.of A. I will post more and maybe even do a minor build up on my Ranger.

Hiya, Edge. Good to see you back.

All in all, TRS is really a great place, even with all of us old farts on here.

:headbang::headbang:i'll be 40 in july as for kids these days they were saying the same about us as we of them we just able to take a ass kicking and not get gun after

My kids tell me I'm old as dirt but that's OK I know it's their way of "pulling my chain". I'm "over the hill" according to some people at 65 but I still love to work on my BIIs, my Explorers' & my Ranger pickup. I do the majority of the work myself & I have learned a lot from these "young whipper snappers" on TRS as well as the rest of the people on here. I enjoy reading the tech articles & trying to pass on what little knowledge I have (which ain't much) to everyone I can. Not very knowledgable when it comes to using computers but Jim & others usually give me a helping hand. I have this site bookmarked for easy access & I read it daily. For an old fart like myself, it keeps my mind active & I've meet of good caring people who enjoy trucks & wheelin.

I've got to give it to these younger guys. They come up with some pretty darn good ideas & are happy to share what they know with us older guys & that is a real PLUS IMO. It's all about sharing, having fun, enjoying what we like to do & helping each other. I've learned a lot & TRS is the best site on the internet IMO.

I agree with vaGent. TRS is a grate site and the young guy's are very smart.

So 40 = "Elder"? Gosh, now I have to start thinking of one of my grandkids as an elder?

"Edgeahomo"....hehe that's funny. :taunt: Haha jk man, name calling is not cool.

Nah man, You are still "young dirt". I'm "old dirt". lol Kids today think if you are over 35 you are olver the hill. Little do they know huh? I just stated learning how to LIVE when I turned 40.

thanks guys, its good to be back. i was a member back in 2005, but after the revamp of TRS last year i lost all of my 2000 posts, so i sort of went away. but i've returned and hope to help any way i can.
