Should I?

haha, true enough.

Trust me, it'd be done right =p

No way I'm going to screw up a Ranger.

Anyway...making a trip to the bank sometime monday....gonna see if I can afford an auto loan. If I can afford it, I'm gonna be bringing home a new toy :icon_thumby:

Im not to sure what time it is where your from but here its 1:30pm and Jus wonderin if u been to the bank yet today?

Unfortunately, no. I was at work at that point in the day.

I got up a little late this morning so I wasn't able to do it (slept through my alarm clock this morning....lol) But, I have the whole day off tomorrow, and the '03 Ranger is #1 on the priority list.

so thats why you didn't answer the phone

Haha, to be honest Brian 90% of the time I dont even know its ringing. I just went and bought another time card for it, so I'll call you back sometime.

I did take the Ranger out for a test drive earlier today, and its not bad. Rides decently smooth, has working A/C (something I haven't had for a longgg time now), plenty of acceleration power, and I took it up onto the highway just to test out its Highway manners....didn't do too bad. Took it up to 80mph no prob....still had alot of go-fast left in it.

My question now is.... is it possible to do a 5spd manual swap on this truck? The *only* thing I don't like about it is the fact that its an Automatic.

anything is possable. but to be honest i would drive it the way it is and save for the parts you will need. that way when the auto does go bad you already have every thing you need. oh and leave the exhaust alone lol.

The automatic 5 speed is a pretty good transmission, I wouldn't hold my breath on it acting up in the near future.

On that new of a truck finding one that already has a 5-speed would probably be a smarter move.

Brian, wheres the fun in leaving the exhaust alone? :icon_twisted:

Everyone knows that glasspacks make it go fast ;missingteeth;

The only reason I'd even think about doing the manual 5spd swap is because I simply like manual better. I prefer having total control over what the truck is doing.

I swear I'm actually going to wake up early this morning so I can talk to the bank.... after test driving it... I'm nearly addicted to it, haha.

Extended cab? 2 or 4 dr?

I would swap in a 5spd too, I also like control of my truck, like bossing it around haha..

Jeff

but automatic is easier
manual is more fun tho
either wat id say go for it
it sounds :bling:

I actually find Manual to be easier to drive than Auto..... but thats because I learned to drive on a manual, and have driven nothing but manual since then ( learned to drive in my Ranger, then I turned around and bought it from the male parental-unit =P )

Yeah its a neat truck, I did however fail to wake my butt up early enough to get to the bank early in the morning. Swear I'll get up earlier today!!! =P
