2010 with a 2.3L Duratec -- It's got about 75k miles on it and I don't know when last (if ever) these have been replaced. I'm used to a more traditional system where the boot and wires are one part and I just replace them along with spark plugs -- I assume I don't need to replace the wires (they seem designed to stay!) but I'm not sure about the Direct Ignition Coils? What is their life expectancy? If changing is recommended, should I go Motorcraft?

Thanks!

I think I should have looked under the hood before posting this -- youtube misled me...

Either way... coils/coilPACKS are either good or they aren't, not really a part that degrades in quality of function over time like o2 sensors do No need to fix what ain't broke!

if they are like my ‘11 escape with the individual coils you dont want to replace them unless they go bad. $30 per coil if I remember right, Ive had to replace 2 so far.
