Should I just buy a new one? Opinions welcomed.

I agree, it wasn't an easy decision, but in the end it was something every single weekend for the past 12 months with this truck. New clutch, rear end needed fixing/adjusting, what would have been next? Transfer case, tranny, front diff? It just seemed this truck was abused before me and I was tired of paying for it.

As for the payments, well, I could have paid for the truck in cash, but at 2.9% I can make more with my money invested, so I selected my down payment accordingly and left the rest invested to earn for me.

youve about got everything fixed now, jsut get ti right and drive it till the doors fall off. trust me i know its aggrevating. I sold my old 94' Ranger to get my current Ranger b/c she was developing some problems like she needed a new cooling system and rearend and rear main seal. I should just fixed it, then i would be in this $300+ loan.

But the ol' girl jsut wasnt serving me well anymore. she was 2wd reg cab 2.3. no power, no 4x4, and no room! if i had it to do over again, id kept her, saved the down payment and then bought my current truck!

So I backed out of the deal and am keeping the Ranger. Must have been the guilt....or the realization that I was about to spend $30k for $500 worth of problems.

Oh and the clutch isn't slipping, the clutch pedal was stuck, too 2 minutes to fix it.

Going to bring it for the rear pinion fix/adjustment and either I'll replace the front diff oil seal or I'll have the shop do it while they fix the rear.

So, am I allowed back into the inner circle and will you take back all the bad things you thought about me?

You never really leave here even when you don't have a Ranger...the inner circle always has an open loop...sorta like one of those metal circular key rings...where you slip the keys on through a small opening and then wind them into the circle...it's just that sometimes you need to find that little opening...

Good to hear also that it wasn't your clutch...and hopefully you make the adjustment to "I can fix this" mentality...without too much further interruptions of Ranger Enjoyment...

I ordered the front axle seal and replacement drive axle bolt today, so I'll be fixing that myself. Can't see paying someone a few hours labor for something I know I can do in the garage.

make sure that when they replace the pionion seal, that they put RTV along the seal incase it doesnt seat properly, it still wont leak. those seals bend way to easy.
