I agree, it wasn't an easy decision, but in the end it was something every single weekend for the past 12 months with this truck.  New clutch, rear end needed fixing/adjusting, what would have been next?  Transfer case, tranny, front diff?  It just seemed this truck was abused before me and I was tired of paying for it.
As for the payments, well, I could have paid for the truck in cash, but at 2.9% I can make more with my money invested, so I selected my down payment accordingly and left the rest invested to earn for me.
