the car flippers usually drive around alot and look for cars sitting in people's yards or driveways. you look for ones with cobwebs behind the tires and leaves on the wiper blades, or even flat tires. then you go and ask if they will take 150 or 200 bucks. they say no but you keep going back every week or so and they will end up selling the car/truck for fairly close to what you offered.
i used to do that with bmws. i would drive around all over town and if i saw a bmw in someone's yard that looked like it hadn't moved, i would go knock. than i would mark it off in my head to come back to later. i had 12 bmws one time (and the most i paid for a running driving one was 350). i would get them drivable and pass safety inspection and than sell them for 2kish. sometimes more, sometimes less.
