Should I buy it?????? Please help

OK...I went to see it this afternoon. The -25 windchill made it a challenge to really check out. The body was less than I expected, why people think the plastic trim/skirt over the rusted out rockers constitutes as "not much rust" is beyond me. I was just hoping for a more decent looking DD for a while.
As for the trans...its seems like the shifter feels as it should, I could find all gears. The clutch petal felt as it should too, but no engagement at all(or any kind of sound, in or out). They said it smelled like burnt clutch when it was towed back to the house.
So I'm still on the fence about this one...???

it sounds like it needs a new clutch which means that the tranny might actually be fine. would be better than needing a new tranny. for the price though, its hard to go wrong. its priced not too far over its scrap value....
