Shock Recommendations

Howdy Everybody - long time lurker, finally decided to jump on in. Couple of simple questions, please don't beat me up too bad!

#1 Need to replace the front shocks on my '03 4x4, and can't decide which way to go. I live in the sticks, so am on dirt and trails quite a bit, but still hit the pavement enough to not want my teeth rattled out. I do have to rock climb a bit (mostly boat "launches" on my river), so I do need something decent. Any suggestions that have worked for folks?

#2 I plan on adding the explorer rear leaf springs (adding an inch of lift) in the next few weeks (after I read the article in the Tech Library) and adjusting my torsion bars accordingly to level it out - does this affect the type of shocks I should buy?

Bilsteins for sure. Monroe and Ranchos just can't hold a candle to Bilstein.
