Shell Gas

I have always liked K&N Oil filters just for the nut welded on the end.

And remember folks, just because it comes out of the same tube doesn't mean its the same stuff. Just like the single handle at the fuel pump. All the gas isn't 87 octane in there.

There's a purolator plant in Fayetteville,NC. It's about 50 minutes from my house. They make filters and slap different companies stickers on them. :icon_thumby: Believe what you want, it's the damn truth.

I could see that as being true, But If It cost more to buy a quaker filter that is the same on the outside as a motomaster im goin motomaster. Maybe the inside components are different but I cant be sure. so im savin a buck and callin er' a day. still... FRAM=JUNK hahaha dunno just not givin that up!:thefinger:

thais is true, if you think about it you are geting a hose full of what ever the person befor you got wether its higher or lower than what your geting

and for the oil filter thing... back in hs autoshop we took a number of filters (fram, moto, amsoil, delco, ect) we had at least 15 of them we cut open most of witch were the same

not sure about gas...but i've been hearing lots about this new shell nitrogen enriched fuel...in my humble opinion I think its just a scam to make you buy the v-power so the company can get richer.

Mohawk/Husky stations up here in Alberta anyways have 87 unleaded, then their 89 and 91 octane gas is a 10% ethanol mix. i used to run mohawk 89 - 10% e mix in my ranger and over the reg 87 i noticed a SLIGHT difference.

haven't filled up with gas for a while now, i'm more conscience on finding ultra low sulfur diesel for my f-250 so i wont void my ford motor warranty...

I do a lot of driving for my job and I can say not all gasoline is the same. I get the best millage from Huck's and Countrymark. I actually get the worst with BP, Citgo, and Shell.

just so you guys know, if you use k&n oil filters on 2.9s you can add half a quart or so

Yeah, I noticed the signs at the station.. I am not sold on it, until I do some testing. Not too happy either, things are working great now for my vehicles.

Well I've always for the most poart used shell gas, and have never had any probs. The nitrogen cleaner is in all octanes of fuel from what I remeber, and all the octanes they carry are top tier which mean they clean exceptionally well anyways and don't leave many deposits in the first place either.
