Anyone have some suggestions on a shallow mount sub? Im looking for something between the 8-12in range, preferably competition. I have looked at a pioneer 10, kicker 10 and 12, and MA audio 10

What are you using it for, what are your power requirements/how much power do you have, how much mounting depth do you have?? All of these play an important role in sub selection :icon_thumby:

I want something that will hit decently and be able to reach lows, possibly 25hz. Im probably looking at a 4in or less mounting depth since I have a single cab. Right now I have a 1000watt 2-chnl xplod amp powering 2 xplod 10s and want something that's not from walmart. Im also hoping to get a decent price

Been there, done that with reg cabs ( you have no idea to what I've done with reg cabs) What you need to do is adjust your seat as far forward as you can (somewhat) comfortably stand it, and take a measurement both top and bottom behind your seats, as well as the small space below the hump in the back, figure out how much air space you have and then look at your choice of subs...My first suggestion would be JL Audio, Kicker, MTX just to name a few that I have had great success with :icon_thumby:

Bottom: 8 1/2
Top: 5
Width: 16
Height: 13

I always get messed up trying to figure out the airspace...

You have 0.632 cu. ft. air space each, good for an 8", a little small for a 10, you also need to calculate for the subs mounting area...

you only need .43 for the memphis 12 that i linked the review from a friend of mine

Yeah, but how much is the mounting depth on that, thats the killer with 12's, they get a little deep on mounting...

3", its a shallow mount.. its made for it

12"

88 dB

43 oz magnet

3" Mounting depth

How much power do they handle?? SVC or DVC?? How much they run?? I might use them in an upcoming project...

I feel dumb...I hate when I'm multi-tasking :annoyed:
