Well... It's in pretty good shape considering what I have in it. About 25 bucks in gas, a worn out 44, and 400 bucks. Everything is tight, but one u joint bushing rubber thingy is ripped. Everything else looks pretty good.

First order of business is to tear it down, soak what's rusted up in some cleaner, and find me a locker.

Sarge did awesome again. Mainly just trail riding. No crawling, very similar to Turkey Bay. Tight and rough. Had a great time. Pics tomorrow

This latest trip, I let the boss lady do most of the driving

Sweet. So, you plan on going with bigger rubber once the new axle makes its way under sarge? You know, 47's is the new 37's :D

SVT

Nope. 39.5 will be the biggest I go on the ol gal. Am looking at lowering the rig. If I do this, I will have to sub frame it front and rear, and I'm not comfortable in my fab skills to build a frame yet.

First thing is caging it. This is a must. I will be collecting toob every chance I get. I'll likely be putting in around 3-350 ft of toob in this thing. It will be tight to the interior, and will pass through the body in some sections. It will mount to the frame, and will be removable in sections. It's going to make it cost a little more, but I'm planning on keeping the pig for a while, so it's ok with me. Of course, the cage will be out of 1.75 .120 wall DOM.

I can help you fab the frame if you want. I'll be doing a new frame for SVT at the end of the summer...

Ok cool. I'll let you know when it's time. Won't be right now.

Well, the Sarge is a frickin beast. It does have some limitations, like the wheel base, but this dude will take a flogging.

I beat on this thing hard this weekend. Slammed the tranny skid and rear driveshaft multiple times, bent a rear link bar, crushed all 4 doors, and broke another mirror housing.

Still having issues with cooling. It didn't overheat, but did get up around 210 a couple times with the A/C off and with it on. Both were under load going up hill. Same as before.

I must say, for being on half ton axles, this rig is awesome. After watching the rock bouncers get airborn and hearing those screaming V8's, there may be an engine upgrade in the future. Axles and cage are first though. Did get on one spot where I had to be winched to keep from rolling.
