Serious "stock" 4x4 camber issue! Please help!


How would worn beam bushings cause camber issues? I'd think it'd mess with caster more than anything? Though I didn't really offer anything to check......so......A bent steering linkage (probably the big drag link) causing an incorrect toe setting will more than likely be the cause. in these cases * i have been told* it has been the beam bushings creating th problem...now will it cause camber im not 100 percent sure but it will certainly cause toe problems and cause the truck to drive funny when in reverse.
 
The latest news...
New radius arm bushings also where installed first...
Tie rods are tight
ball joints are tight
Wheel bearings are tight.
Springs appear to be in their seats correctly.
New Radius arm bushings installed.
Toe was set,, driven checked and set accurately.

Then... new camber/caster bushings where installed (2.0+ to 2.0 -)

Reset the toe to "dead on straight".

Camber is still in the Neg. but slightly better.

plan "B" now in progress... throw mo money at it! :-)

Ordered new camber caster bushings from rockauto. 3.25+ to 3.25-

we'll see what happens...

Now that I think about it, you're probably correct. If the beams are able to move laterally, that would definitely affect the toe, and could certainly cause erratic behavior like this.
 
When I get the 3.0 + or - camber bushings installed...
I'll put up the results here on what happened.
