serious loss of power

Should the pressure on the EGR change when you give it gas and if so what could prevent the pressure from changing? Other than the hose leaking and the EVR. Vacuum is getting to the EVR but not out and the EVR is not broken.

Any idea why the timing light would go out completely at times when I goose the throttle? If so could that cause this problem? Again, timing is correct and it runs perfectly smooth at idle, if I have not said that already.

Compression was about 120 psi for all cylinders.

Well, the timing light works via inductance on the spark plug wire. So if it's not firing then it's because there isn't voltage going through the #1 wire you're attached to...

What are the actual code numbers that you're getting, and which test?

Well we figured out why the timing light was wrong... the clip is polar.

Switched the entire intake with another truck which ran fine before and after the swap so the problem is nothing on the intake or the EGR including Solenoid and the tube going off to exhaust but thanks for the suggestion.

I guess we are going back to the fuel system. Any ideas what could cause the exhaust to be extreamly rich and the engine have no power?

Well turns out the problem was a bad fuel pump :annoyed:. The dumb thing had just enough pressure to idle perfect but when you put it under load it would just die. Don't know why but just had a idea to hook up a fuel pressure gauge and put a block under the tire and the pressure dropped to zero sure enough, so note to anyone who has a similar problem; Be sure to check the fuel pressure under load BEFORE buying more parts:D. Good luck.
