2.3L ('02-'11) Sending unit

Have a 02 2.3. Where is the sending unit? I’ve read by the oil filter but also read it’s shaped like a bell . Or am I’m looking for a threaded switch?? I’m confused!!

The Bell shaped units are variable senders used on older engines
Yours uses a pressure switch sender, smaller unit

Yes, on the 2.3 Duratec engines it should be on the oil filter housing

Would you know what size t fitting would fit/thread in place of the switch

Also thought I read it was 1/8 NPT??!!

Yeah should be 1/8... doing a little turbo feed?
