Selling truck

I handed my plates back last July as I was leaving the country.
Now I wish to sell it from my yard.
I'm not from this country,I don't know how this works.
Can I sell it,how does buyer take it for a test drive?
Am I screwed?

1. yes you can sell your truck
2. no the buyer can not test drive the truck without plates and insurance if you or buyer wreck truck while test driving you are liable for damages and buyer will be fined for driving with no insurance and also could be sued for damages
3. you could trailer it somewhere to private property and drive it
4. or sell it as is where its at no drive could hurt your selling price some
if truck is in good condition and runs good it may not hurt you

You could also plate it with temporaries if available... 30 days or so. I'd call the DMV and see if you can do that.
