I am also going to have Jim make you a couple stickers that say "Bling" I was thinking in Frosted would be fine.

That should get you started.

:woot:

i agree with the fart can posted earlier, but make it legit, get a foldgers can (or your choice of coffee) and use a hole saw to get the hole in the middle n JB Weld that sucker on!!!!

did that on my friends relient k cuz we were bored, pissed off so many rice burners

dont forget, u gotta drop them torsion bars up front and cut the springs in the back to make that bitch sit lowwwwwwwww LOL:icon_thumby:

Yeah, I'm not doing any of that. Good, tasteful suggestions though, I have to admit.

It's not the AWD one. I passed on one of those because I'm solely looking for the MPG here.

Drove it today for the first time--besides putting it on the trailer. Needs brakes bad. The clutch cable needs cleaned and lubed. Needs a steering wheel too. The outer padded part seems to have broken free from the inner steel core on the top. It looks good but that portion squirms in your hand. I can imagine some 300# grandma putting some torque on it as she uses it to heave herself in and out. Also, the wiper stem has a serious problem. If you even tap it it squirts the fluid, and when you push it back it cranks the wipers. I ended up popping the fuse out. But it runs great and shifts great. I'm really happy with it. It's a big change from a crewcab diesel. It's quiet, slow (what's 5th gear for?) and I can smack the kids while driving.

Went through all the brakes. Sure is nice having rotors you can put in your pocket. This is more simple than a VW bug. A pair of 7 year olds (my son and nephew) did the fronts. The rear brakes were fine, lots of meat. But the drums came off without backing the shoes. So I said, hmmm, drove it backwards and slammed on the brakes and suddenly the car had great breaks. I know this was driven by an old lady. I can see her inching backwards with her eyes closed--no damn clue if anything was behind her.

Spare tire looks new, the scissors jack looks unused. And it took 7 easy turns of the handle and the wheel was already several inches off the ground. I'm used to the 30# screw jack on my Chevy that takes 10 minutes of hard cranking.

Stock Honda radio--good sign. Probably the last Civic in the world without subs in the back.

Drove it 60 miles after filling it up. Needle hasn't moved off of full yet.

The drawback--I'm going to be in a fist fight pretty soon. People bully you when you are in a small car. Even the Prius owners get a testosterone boost when they pull up behind the old Civic. I feel like the new bitch in the prison yard. And I can't see. I'm used to looking over the tops of everyone, now I sit on my 13" rims and am lost down in the walls of other people's sheetmetal. A Ford Escape is a damn mountain. I can see under an F250 and out the front.

Rotors you can fit in your pocket, hahaha. Sounds like the cars in great shape. Keep trying to hold your own out there. Most people with there fancy cars don't really want to get in an accident. Good luck..... you might need it.

Nice avatar.

Normally I would think that was funny, but you made me miss my F-250 all over again.

:3gears:

Filled it for the second time and checked my mileage. It's very easy to make sure its full because the fuel fill pipe is vertical. I went 362 miles and it was at a little under 1/4 tank so I was getting nervous that the gauge wasn't working properly--I was expecting about 30mpg and it's a 12 gallon tank. No worries, it took 9.3 gallons to fill it.

39mpg. That's 21mpg better than my truck, and the fuel is 20% cheaper. This thing is going to save $2,000/year and pay for itself in a few months. Unless it explodes or something.

Thats an awesome little beater. I would borrow my grandmothers 89 civic sedan, 35 mpg with my lead foot, a little better then my 16 mpg Ranger. I def understand the looking under everything. After driving my 9 in lifted Ranger, and going to the glorified go-kart, its hard, i hate not being able to see all the other cars haha.

Nice car good luck with it:icon_thumby:
