Seating config - Bench seats?

I like the 60/40 i got from a 92 s/c in my 84, much more comfortable than bench. You also get the center armrest, only drawback...the seem to sit lower than bench seat, not good for off road. had to use the mounts from the bench on the ends....Someday i will throw shims under the mounts and raise the seats.

So from this can I assume that the 60/40 would be better for a 6'4" driver who likes head room?
