sbc in a ranger?

I'm running 40 series. I'm going to run 3" out of the mufflers when i figure out where I'm going to dump it

wow I had to dig down to page 5 to find this. Just for an update on the ranger, I'm starting to get it ready for paint. Not sure what color it's going to be yet, I've changed my mind quite a few times, but I think I've decided either blue with yellow stripes or silver with either blue or black stripes. What are your guys' thoughts? Either way here's a picture just so you don't forget what the truck looks like

a midnight blue with white shelby gt350 stripes would be hot on that thing!!!!!!!!

if not then id say silver with blue stripes.

got any full pics of the engine done?

check out my build when you get the chance!

here's the 350 block in for the first time. i'm not using this block but it gave me an idea of how tight it's going to be.

the driver's side looks pretty tight with the steering box, but other than that, it doesn't look too bad

you should name it rusty, like the block lol:thefinger:

If so, could you please PM me better pics & details..........THANKS!:icon_cheers:

blackwidow I agree, blue and white would be pretty cool, but I see that on a lot of cars around here...kinda want something different.

chvlfrk, all that is, is a 2x6 peice of wood stuffed in there to hold the block still. Any other ideas on paint colors? I'm open to suggestions lol
I'm going to look at/price paint on thursday

What's up guys? I'm back! I sold the ranger about a year and a half ago and was pretty mad at myself...but I just bought it back about a week ago! I'll post some pictures of the truck as soon as I figure out how to again lol

Welcome to the Ranger Station, young man!

:icon_rofl:

Let's try to upload some pictures and see what happens...

Welcome back chord. Nice looking truck. If I could find a reasonably priced SBC and trans, I might be tempted to do a similar thing with my '86 Ranger. I'd want to go TBI though for the fuel system. Where about in WA are you?

Thanks GentleRF! My next build will be some sort of a fuel injected set up. The reason I did a carb. set up on this one is because it was my first big swap and I wanted to make it as easy on myself as I could. Oh and I hate dealing with wiring lol! I'm about an hour north o Everett

time for a late model cadillac engine swap....you know the one with the blower and the six speed manual trans.

do it ....

Im doing something similar for my 1991 2wd ranger prerunner build... What headers wound up working....i seen the pic you posted but i never seen any brand or part number listed....
