Sasquatch_Ryda's Ranger refit

Alright...gave up on trying to reuse the factory cross member and fabbed a new one from some left over tube I had kicking around. Used my bender to get the right shape to it to clear the exhaust and front drive shaft. Got some paint on it all and as soon as its dry its time to start bolting this puzzle all together!

Oh....and has anyone had to cut the lip that hangs down on the passenger frame rail off to clear the radius arm? It looks awful close, but I don't think my current coils will compress enough for it to be an issue?!

Yes...but no.

I had to cut a section out to make my passenger side bracket mount flush. :icon_thumby:

Thank you very much!

I must say that's good to hear coming from someone who does this for a living! Makes me feel pretty good as I've got zero formal welding training, and am completely self taught. I'm running a Lincoln MigPak 180 in the shop at home. Seems to handle the 1/4"plate with zero problems.

That's awesome! Very few people possess the gift of the craft. Some could spend 10 years at a welding tech school and still not get it, others, like yourself, has the talent to figure out the mechanics of it and create something cool!

I'm not too familiar with the Lincoln brand (All our shop machines are Miller and my personal one is a Hobart 140), is yours a 220V setup?

Yup, its a 220v welder, 180 amp output
